Ask Carleton

We're leaving early in the morning for Bass Lake for some wakeboarding, hiking, and hanging out with the fam. The American Idol concert was AMAZING! Their voices sounded sooooo good. Danny dedicated a song to me (and each and every person there) but I told some of my family, I swear he was looking right at me when he said that. Carleton took me out to a fancy restaurant beforehand where I didn't recognize a lot of the food and didn't know how to eat it. What a fun night. We had babysitters the next night too-good times.

So, since I don't have tons of time to blog, I'll just ask Carleton to answer some questions:

What are your 2 biggest pet peeves? 1. Slow drivers 2. Apollo grinding his teeth

Top 3 things to do for fun? 1. Wakeboard 2. Rock Climb
3.Mountain bike

Favorite attribute in mother-in-law? 1. Sincere kindness

What are you most proud of? Getting Robyn to marry me

What did you enjoy doing most today? Swimming with Apollo

Least favorite chore? Folding laundry

Favorite memory with your dad? There's a ton. It's hard to say. Boy scout camping.

Fun things for the Week

1. We have our little boy back. He had hand foot mouth and cried all night for many nights straight. We took him to the Dr. and found out what it was. We had now idea what was up because he is usually a great sleeper. We were delirious with lack of sleep. It was also hard to keep Apollo away from my friends' kids so he wouldn't pass it on.

2. Carleton and I went to a water park for date night. Carol took great care of Apollo and Annie.

3. The American Idol concert is coming up this Thurs.

4. Our Bass Lake vacation is coming up next week.

5. Apollo got to help Carleton work in a yard-they came back totally brown with dirt.

6. We got to hang out with some of our best friends.

7. I've decided I want a nanny (a cool one that will do fun activities with the kids so I don't have to feel guilty), a cook, a house cleaner, a masseuse, and a trainer. I enjoy cooking, love being with the kids, and even like cleaning, but a couple hours a week would be great. So if you know anyone who will work for free, let me know.

Let Freedom Ring

I had the best fourth of July I've ever had in my whole life! Here's how the day went.

1. Carleton and I ran in a 5k race in the morning pushing the kids in the stroller.

2. We decorated the stroller. Apollo (and Annie) was in a parade where the kids are the main event. They throw candy to the people on the side.

3. Awesome Fireworks. We watched them from Carol's house. She lives on the beach and the fireworks were done on the pier.

4. Lobster. Carol went all out for my birthday and the 4th. She had decorations and great food.

5. Carleton got Wii Fit so I'm excited to try it out.

Here's our little 4th of July beauty.

Here's the fruit pizza I made. You can check it out on my other blog.

Apollo has been up during the nights and we couldn't figure out why. He's usually an incredible sleeper. He didn't have an appetite but not really much else to go on. We took him to the Dr. and he said he has hand-foot-mouth-probably from the nursery. He has big sores on his mouth. The Motrin has been helping. Carleton and I are ready for more sleep.

Annie had her 4 month apt. She is in the 75 percentile for height and head and 83rd for weight. We're glad her height is catching up to her weight. I've been waking her up before I go to bed to give her a last feeding but the Dr. said she doesn't need it. So, she'll go almost 12 hours without eating. She such a low maintenance babe.

Here are videos of Annie's new noises and Apollo singing with me.
