The Happiest Place on Earth

This week has been busy and fun. I've been decorating the house for Halloween and getting ready to celebrate Apollo's birthday. Carleton played racquetball and had other plans so with our house full of decorations that hadn't been organized and a house that needed cleaning. So... what did we do? We had a dance party! We all ran around the house like crazy people and pumped up the music. Here we were all jumping on our bed.

Disneyland. Ziggy was with me for the first part and Carleton joined me for the end. But for a few hours I had both kids by myself. I have some fun stories about how I handled both of them and how fun it was to try to nurse Annie while having an active 23 month old as well. Here's Apollo chillin' in Toon Town.

"Cheese"

Apollo had a blast at his friends' birthday bash.

Here's Apollo's art project for the week:

Another great climbing day at Point Dume. It's a beautiful cliff right off the water on the beach. It's always fun hanging out with Carol, and it was fun to see Nick and Jordan again.

I'm so excited for Halloween. Here are some of the new decorations I've been putting together. I'll be posting them this week on my other blog.

Havasupai

We went to Havasupai with Robyn's family over Labor Day weekend, packing the kids 10 miles into the Grand Canyon to enjoy the beautiful falls. (Warning - major picture overload follows)

We explored some old mine shafts near the campground.

Creative Naps.

Annie Love.

The trek down to the base of Mooney Falls was treacherous, but absolutely beautiful and completely worth it.

Robyn and Annie got to ride out in a helicopter free through her Dad's connections with the tribe. About 500 Havasupai Indians live in the valley and have all of their supplies flown in or brought down by mules.

Annual Peach Days Race in Brigham City, Utah. Here are the shirts we made.

Utah State Fair - brings out the best - check out this mullet!!!

Lagoon. Fun day, especially for the kiddos. It was funny to see little Apollo on the big rides.

Apollo had so much fun playing with his cousins during this trip and still talks about them.

Seven Peaks - Apollo has no fear, even though he can't swim. Constant vigilance was necessary, but he loved the all that water.

Robyn got to see one of her best pals Jessica in Logan. True story - Apollo starting hunting a fly by clapping around it and saying "Fly, fly!" A minute later he came back holding the dead fly in his hand - how did he do that?! We were laughing so hard.
