A Day in the Life of Paradise

We are having so much fun here in Irvine so we wanted to show what an average wonderful day here is like. Every morning the Copa family goes for a run-Apollo in his jogging stroller with mom and speedy dad takes off ahead. Apollo loves seeing the outdoors, dogs, and people. There are some awesome running trails all over and one right off our complex.

This is what we look at every day outside our back porch.
It's beautiful! Apollo loves to watch the kids from his saucer. We love swimming. Apollo is a people magnet and has so much fun with the kids. There are a lot of girls that think he is so darling and he gets so excited when he sees other little people his size there.

This weekend we went to Newport Beach where Robyn and Apollo went running by the beautiful homes and Carleton body surfed on the big waves.
Afterwards the boys got busy digging in the sand. Apollo likes to eat the sand and gets it stuck in every crevace from his nose to under his chin chubs. He has a blast in the sand and water with Dad.

The day before turning 9 months, Apollo decided he'd better get crawlin'. He his been going backwards and been close for awhile. On Friday he crawled over to the dvd player and 10 minutes later Carleton videotaped his first attempts. He loves the cell phones so we tempted him with those. He gets better and better every day.

Apollo and Mom visited both Skenandore grandparents in Idaho. Robyn's dad is anxious for retirement and already bought their cabin. It's beautiful!! Apollo was most impressed with Harley the black lab. He barked loudly right in Apollo's face and Apollo laughed. Robyn's mom said he has no fear and is different than most kids the way he giggles when Harley nuzzles him and the way he has a blast on the four wheeler with all the wind in his face. He was totally giddy on the bike (anything that is outdoors and moves is a fav. of Apollo). Robyn got her first ride on her dad's Harley-so fun!

While Robyn was at SuperCamp, the boys went to the Copas for some wakeboarding and to the cabin. Carleton and Apollo went on the kneeboard together as Apollo had fun putting his hands in the spraying water. Carleton almost perfected his back flip on the wakeboard (just let go of the rope) so he's looking forward to Lake Powell for some more practice.

Robyn has been facilitating middle school and high school programs for the Quantum Learning network. She did it between teaching and this year changed from the kids to facilitating a program for the parents of SuperCampers. The SuperCamp for parents is shorter and more doable with Apollo (thanks to Grandma Copa for watching him for a couple of days!). She thought SuperCamp was fun but it doesn't compare to the fun she had at SuperCamp for parents! It was one of the best weekends of her life. Robyn learned a lot from the other parents and the positive environment. Connie and Dan were fellow facilitators and were a blast to work with.

Apollo enjoyed being our cake - complete with 4 colors of icing and sprinkles.

Robyn came back from SuperCamp to a fully birthday decorated Copa house. Thanks guys for your thoughtfulness! and some fun presents. We drove until past midnight to get home that night and Carleton had balloons all over and a new keyboard. Carleton is the most thoughtful and best husband in the world.

This weekend we spent at the beach with Eve, Wes, and Addy. They are friends from Prove that are here for Wes's internship. The boys had fun body surfing. Apollo is definitely a water baby and thinks the sand tastes great.
