Loving Summer

My highlight this week was running a race along the ocean with Eve.  She called me the day before and asked if I wanted to join her for a race.  So fun!!  We chatted the whole time.  I love running and love my friend Eve.  She's such a go getter mom and I left with new ideas to try after our chat.  Exercising is my anti-depressant.  I feel so much more positive and my thinking is so much clearer.  I'm excited to be doing my first triathlon next month.

The kids have had fun with the water lately.  They love playing on the trampoline with the hose.

Apollo is amazing with Parks.  He said the other day, "Every time I see him, I always want to kiss him."  He loves to make Parks smile.

Annie's helping Carleton with the yard work.  Carleton cut all the branches and ivy back while Annie took it down and put it in a pile.

Parks' girls.  He doesn't know how good he has it-it was funny to have three crying babies in a row.

We had an amazing night!  Beautiful hike, incredible friends, all you can eat Korean barbeque, and Boba.  Carleton ate more than all of us combined!

Happy Father's Day.  The kids worked hard on their cards.

"New" Slide.  Thanks Brad!

 Annie in all her glory.

I had one of the best weeks of my life!
It would be a dream come true....
-to have someone cook my every meal.
-to get a solid night sleep.
-to not have to share Carleton with kids or work and to have him all to myself.
-to dance and choose from any entertainment.
And I got all of these in one week.  Heaven.
Thanks to Grandma Heidi for taking care of the kids.  She did an amazing job.  She said Parks was the happiest baby she'd ever seen...I agree.  I can't get over what a good boy his is.

10 years.  I have never heard of a better husband than Carleton!  He always puts me before himself, is funny, happy, ambitious, silly, athletic, patient, is a great great dad, is helpful, and humble.  Every day with him is a blessing.  We are ready for another cruise!  We had so much fun zip lining, hiking, being entertained, eating, laughing, sunning, reading, dancing, driving wave runners, kayaking,  working out, meeting people, shopping in the markets, and hot tubbing.
We had an incredible time but were excited to be back with our kids.

I feel like I am in that time of life that I will look back and say when I'm 90...those were the best years.  I live with my best friend and am surrounded by amazing friends.  We live in an amazing area.  Apollo and Annie are good buddies and I really enjoy being with them.  I feel very very lucky to be their mom.  Parks is an absolute joy.  I am thankful for the guidance my Father in Heaven gives me every day.  I feel that what I do every day has great importance and can't think of anything I would rather be doing.

Good to be back.

I bought Annie a purse in Mexico and took her to the dollar store to fill it up with makeup.  She put some eye makeup on and Apollo said, "it looks like you have owies on your eyes."

Parks is getting mobile.  He is rolling over now.

Lego Land.  Apollo and Annie LOOOOOOVE Legos!  They can play with those and cars all day.  We have Lego creations everywhere.  Apollo even has a secret cupboard in the kitchen that he stashes a bunch that he showed me the other day.

Apollo loves to match Parks so we got them matching soccer jerseys in Mexico.

Apollo went crazy when he saw the mini world...all built in Legos.

Apollo is like his Daddy-loves a good thrill.  Annie is the same way but wasn't tall enough to go yet.

A long day for Chubs (the baby...not talking about myself).

I'm glad Annie has Lyla.  She gets to be a princess.  We were talking the other day and I told her she would marry a boy someday.  She said when she puts her princess dresses on she marries Lyla.

I wanted to capture what normal life looks like...Apollo and Donny playing Legos, Parks grabbing his toys, and Lyla and Annie pretend playing.

Annie and Apollo are always picking me flowers.  I wonder what the neighbors think of their flowers decorating my table??  I used to tell them not to pick flowers but I don't have the heart anymore when I see how excited they get to give me flowers.  Thank you neighbors, LA Fitness, the church, and other places for growing beautiful flowers.

Here's to many more years to come!!!
