Apollo's the Big Brother
After doing a lot of procedures and waiting for years we, felt so blessed to have our little miracle Apollo join us. Now, at great surprise to us, we will have another little miracle join our family. We are going on 14 weeks of pregnancy now and are happy the kids will be so close. Apollo looooves other kids and is a social guy so we know he'll be excited too.
Robyn's best friend from high school, Liz, come to Manhattan for vacation. It was so fun to see her and her cutie kids. We had a fun day together. Her family is like a second family to me.
Robyn went to New Jersey to visit Heidi's family. We had a great day in New York eating the best cheesecake in the world, visiting a museum designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and enjoyed the beautiful beach area where Heidi and Josh were staying. Dad says Apollo is like a shark and is happy, but when he sees food-he attacks. Apollo was best friends with whoever had food. Maddy celebrated her 5th birthday and could not have been more pumped about it. It was fun to see the kids and enjoy each of their unique and fun personalities. I miss them already and would like to live closer.
Apollo and mom stopped by their old friends the Tanners to catch up before Lake Powell. We spent a night at Kirk and Jodi's house too. The boys were so cute with Apollo. Just before Lake Powell we spent a couple days with Grandma and Grandpa Skenandore. They are so cute with Apollo. I watch how Grandma plays and talks so well with Apollo and it inspires me to be a better mom.
Lake Powell was a blast this year. We had a week of wakeboarding, boat rides, wave runners, playing games, making necklaces, a great hike, night swimming by full moons, campfires, fireworks, and a lot of other fun times with the family. Apollo was on a high being around all the kids. We decided that this will be the last of our yearly Lake Powell trip as our family is growing quickly. There will be 2 other cousins born about the same time as our next little one (due March 4th).
Carleton found a great park here in Irvine, so yesterday (for Labor Day weekend) we had a fun-packed day. The park was amazing and went on forever and had fun activities for families. We rode a paddle boat in a cute little pond and took a little tour on a train around the park. Apollo loved to stand up and look out at everything.
We have some other fun events planned and are looking forward to Peach Days to get together with the fam.
